IRK!

We've just found out we have to move house and the whole idea is irksome, with a capitol IRK! There are positives like, maybe we'll find a gem of a joint with room for my very own craft space; a bigger less ornamental garden to grow veggies etc; cheaper rent....(yeah right!!) but the downside is the whole packing up shebang, facing the crappola that's accumulated, that somehow has managed to multiply to the power of 10 in only 18 months! Yes, it's a good opportunity to get rid of stuff, de-clutter, refine and relinquish the junk/treasure ratio but boy-oh-boy-a-lincoln- toy, it's one huge task. Particularly when we were feeling nice and settled, near new schools for next year, close to work...plus the nightmare of the rental market, (IRK!) i know the competition is pretty fierce currently..... I could go on and on, instead i'm putting the word out and about if anyone hears of a lovely 3 bedroom plus, house with a yard in the East st kilda, caulfield, elsternwick, gardenvale, bentliegh vicinity... close to public transport, long lease, suit a family with g.s.o.h....please, i'd appreciate if you'd leave a comment or e-mail me. Meanwile, taking the man quilt off to be quilted, and he's starting another one! (better make that a double big his n hers craft room!) Enjoy the weekend!

blah, I hate the idea of moving. when we moved here last (5 yrs ago) I said that I would have to be moved out in a wooden box...now I am having pangs for the country - banging on the pot lid for the boys to come in from the back paddock as they investigate the dead cow...
On a serious note I do pity you - however, I would say - the rent is cheaper over here, just a little north of the city & with great PT into the city, great schools, and great community, ladies knitting nights once a month...kensington...the undiscovered...
And, yes I always have fun supporting the local charities whilst on holidays!

Yes yes yes Meg, to the country!! That's our plan for the future, somewhere to make a life around a slower pace, but that's further down the track. Meanwhile we have so many commitments this side of town and yet i do love your side o' town. And the packing! that's what's giving me the heeby jeebies, THE PACKING!!!
