I've joined in the fun of I Op Therefore I Am I think it's a great sharing resource plus i like checking out other people's finds. My history with op-shops is long and glorious. I was drawn in to op-shopping or thrifting (I like that word) when i was about 12. Having 2 older sisters who unconventionally back in the 70's bought stuff second hand, they led and i followed. I still remember the brown with fair-aisle train child's cardigan (size 4) i bought and consequently squeezed into for years! And gorgeous old cotton embroidered blouses, fantastic books/china/jewels! And i don't know if any of you remember the gi-normous senior citizen establishment in Camberwell... Oh the joy (and regret of what i DIDN'T buy then...) It was a haven of thrifting bliss. Another favourite was (is) the GOLDEN Opportunity Shop in Ashburton. What a name! So if you're part of the initiated or just op-curious go check out I op therefore I am. Happy Hunting! Of course i've included above a few gems from my recent treasure hunting.
